Fiscal responsibility means not spending more than you make. Fiscal responsibility is not just for individuals, but is required at all levels: by individuals, organizations, companies, and yes, even state and federal governments. Spending more than you take in is simply unsustainable.

Simple Premise is an advocate for fiscal responsibility at all levels, and provides tools, resources, and action plans to help promote fiscal responsibility by everyone. We encourage congress to resolve our debt crisis and to stop spending more money than the USA receives in taxes and revenue. Elected officials must be held accountable. They must either balance the budget or be voted out of office.
